I'm not sure what happens when you keep the card inserted. I've never heard of anyone operating their S8 in that manner, and it might be confusing your unit. I'd take the card out and see if your data is recorded as you previously experienced.

When you insert the card it should say "CARD INSERTED" and start downloading the data from the machine to the card, so you can take it to your DME/Doctor's Office, or read it yourself if you have a card reader. When its done copying, it says "COPY COMPLETE" - at that point you remove the card. The manual isn't very explicit about it, but its clear from the instructions the card isn't meant to be kept in the machine.

I am continuing on this same path and expect to be at about 21-24% bodyfat by the end of January, which is my goal (that is a "fit" bodyfat percentage). (I get my body composition measured by a pro who uses calipers at 7 sites.)
Congratulations!

BTW, do you feel any better having lost that much weight? more energy, etc? I'm trying to get motivated Knowing I might have more energy during the day and feeling less tired would be a good motivator.

Thank you so much for both responses! Just to be clear, I wasn't deliberately storing my card in the machine...no one had ever mentioned a card to me before!

As for the body composition change question - you may have noticed I didn't frame my accomplishment as "weight loss" but body fat percentage loss. I started a body transformation program on August 2, and had my measurements taken by skinfold caliper at that time. Since that time, I have lost 23 lbs of fat, and gained 8 lbs of muscle (I am a 42 year old woman). If I just focussed on the weight loss, it would be 15 lbs...but that understates the amount of fat lost. Make sense?

You asked how I am feeling...I wonder how I am going to express this. It is hard for me to know whether I feel as good as I do because of the changes to my body SHAPE (which gives me body confidence), the changes to my body CAPACITY (you better believe I am extremely proud of some of my physical accomplishments, like the amount of weight I am lifting every week), the changes to my body FEELINGS (do you know what it is like to feel alive [albeit a little sore] at every moment of every day? To know at the end of the day that you used your body's miraculous capacities to move and lift and fly through the world?), the wonderful way I am EATING (finally got a handle on my eating...I feel a lot of joy and satisfaction around my relationship with food) or maybe it is the SUPPLEMENTS that are really working for me.

Short answer is I feel amazing. I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, and I have been on a journey to regain my physical health and well-being since that time. Feels like the pieces are finally falling into place and I can give up the resignation I've been carrying for so long about who I am physically. (I hesitate to add I am ONLY speaking for myself and do not believe I have any capacity to speak for anyone else.)

If you are at all interested, I am doing the Lean Eating coaching program from Precision Nutrition. If you would like to check it out, here is a link: http://www.precisionnutrition.com/produ ... n-coaching

It's for anyone and everyone - you don't have to be an athlete to do this. I started the program at about 36% body fat. That's a pretty high number.

Hi MoneyGal
Congrats on your improved % body fat!
How did it turn out at your DME? I'm having the same problem with not being able to read the daily, weekly, & monthly data. I can read the 6 month and yearly data, but that doesn't help figuring out what happened last night.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum PDouglas. May I suggest that you formally register at the forum. Then go to the User Control Panel and in your Profile the equipment tab and add your equipment in TEXT please (images are small, all look a like and it takes a link to see what you actually are using)

Then create a new topic with your problem since this is old topic and may not be looked at again. Do this and it will help us help you better.

Did you follow the steps that was suggested to the OP here and not have any luck? Would help to know exactly which machine you are using. Please tell us in the new thread if you can figure out how to create one.

Thanks for your question.

I finally took my machine into my DME. They are replacing it as it is under warranty. Once the replaced machine comes in, I will gather new data and go from there in determining whether my pressure or stats have changed.
