Awesomesauce!!! Sleepweaver mask
Got the "camo" design Sleepweaver Mask off Cpap.com.
Am officially on the bandwagon for this mask (only one night in - may jump right back off)
Side-sleep - FACEDOWN SLEEP - woohooo - hahah Facehugger I'm "WINNING" (pls excuse the Sheen joke, that whole trainwreck is too hilarious to pass up)
I don't know what the numbers are going to look like (I only download the card once a week) but that thing is hella comfortable for me, some minor leaking around the eyes, if I shmoosh my face down in the pillow it seems to stop those.
Sweet - as an added bonus, the camo makes me almost invisible and is really handy for late-night duck hunting.

Glad to hear it's working for you (so far, anyway). May I ask what your pressure setting is? I tried the Sleepweaver awhile back, but it wouldn't seal at my higher pressures. Very comfy, but a bit too flimsy to handle my pressure needs.McSnoresalot wrote:Got the "camo" design Sleepweaver Mask off Cpap.com.

Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy.

Good question: short answer is - pretty high.May I ask what your pressure setting is?
I was prescribed straight CPAP at 14 -- did that for a couple of weeks, never could get the AHI under 10.
Doc ok'd me to switch to Auto - min 14 max 20 - been bouncing all around that range ever since. Think my 90% average is around 16.5 - will have to see if that comes down at all with the Sleepweaver.
Will see if this thing can keep up with the pressure - it leaks some, but I haven't tried a mask (6 so far) that didn't leak at least a little. Sure didn't wake me with any leaks and aside from a little bit around the eyes, seemed pretty good.

If it's handling an average pressure of about 16cms and isn't leaking terribly, I'm impressed. I have an older version, which didn't work well for me when I tried it. Have they improved the design recently?McSnoresalot wrote:Will see if this thing can keep up with the pressure - it leaks some, but I haven't tried a mask (6 so far) that didn't leak at least a little. In any event, I'm glad you're happy with it so far, and I hope that continues.

I just looked on CPAP.com and that does look like a comfy mask.

Re: Awesomesauce!!! Sleepweaver mask
Sleepweaver was my first mask, and I loved it, too... I had a minor leak at the bridge of my nose, but a cushy blister bandaid solved that. I moved on to the Swift LT and have not looked back, but the Sleepweaver is a very comfy mask... for those who can use it!
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
Re: Awesomesauce!!! Sleepweaver mask
This is a mask I'd really like to try, especially since my pressure is pretty low. Does anybody know if you can get this from Apria ?
Re: Awesomesauce!!! Sleepweaver mask
I'll bet it feels good against the skin but it looks like it would be hard to work with a hose hanger. Do you use a chin strap?

Re: Awesomesauce!!! Sleepweaver mask
Ok - got some numbers with this mask:
1st night, 03/24/11 - kept it on for 6.3 hrs, AHI 2.4 !!!!! - lowest ever - previous best was AHI 7.5 - leak seemed the same as with the regular mask - not sure I'm reading the leak stuff right.
2nd night, 03/25/11 - 5 hrs (my Humidifier got bumped up to 2 somehow, messed me up, AHI 10.somehting (more typical) leak ok.
3rd night, 03/27/11 - 5.7 hrs, AHI 7.2, leak same.
Still really like the mask, even with facial hair, doesn't seem to leak much - working for me as a side/facedown sleeper. Will see if the numbers continue a downward trend.
Have not been using a chin strap with this mask - I have one, but don't think I need it if I'm not laying on my back, no dry mouth so far.
90% pressure hovering aroud 16.5
