Found an Exciting New Use for My Cpap Machine!

Post by sleepy.sleeperson » Fri Mar 25, 2011 7:06 am

I like to wear new nail polish often, and sometimes find myself painting my nails late at night, right before bed. In the past, I would go to sleep with my hands laying flat out, just praying that my nails would dry before I moved my hands. More often than not, I've woken up with smudges or imprints and just had to take all of the polish off.

Well, a few nights ago, I polished my nails as usual and (carefully) climbed into bed as usual. I put my mask on and settled in to read for a bit as usual. I noticed the air blowing from the vent and suddenly had an epiphany - the blowing air can dry my nails! So now picture this - I'm laying in bed, holding my tablet with one hand while slowly passing each nail of the other hand in front of the air vent on my mask, then switching. By the time I was done reading, each nail was pretty darn dry. I went to sleep peacefully, knowing that my nails would not smudge.

It's the small things in life, right?

Oooh. Will keep this in mind. I have a terrible time keeping my nails nice before they completely dry!

Wouldn't it just be alot easier to paint your nails a little earlier? Hey, it just hit me, I bet you would be a funny sight if you tried drying your toenails this way!!

Yes, painting them earlier would be better, but I never have time! It's not until things get calm right before bed that I have the uninterrupted time to do it.

Yes!

And I loved your story and idea. If ever I am to paint my nails, I know how I'll dry them.

You really should change to the Swift FX mask.............I think it'd be better at drying nails than what you have. I don't know how what kind of cpap tx you'll get with it since masks choices are so individual, but hey......have some priorities!

What about turning on the CPAP to 20cm and just aiming the hose at your nails before attaching the mask? That might even be faster!

Why don't you go make me a ham and cheese sandwich? Forget the nails, I can't see 'em in the dark.
