Problem with Sandman Auto CPAP

Post by lcp » Thu Mar 17, 2011 7:03 am

Hi,

Really hope somebody could help. Bought a Sandman Auto CPAP about a year ago, it has been working fine so far, but last night after i power on, when i try to start the air flow, usually the screen will indicate the increment of pressure until the preset at 4.0cmH2o, but last night, it went up to 0.5cmH20, then the service triangle come on and keep blinking. try restarting several times, but still same problem.

Could somebody please help to advise.

Many thanks.

I don't know about your machine but I do know electronics. To me it sounds like it might be that your blower has a problem. If the blower is starting to fail it could be tripping an overload circuit in the machine. This is a self preservation mode that most high end electronics have now. You might want to check the air intake and make sure it is free of any debris and make sure the filters are clean. You might even try blowing air through the intake. In the end I think you will need to have someone take a look at it. It might be worth while to call the manufacture and see if it is still under warranty. Just some starting points.

Good Luck.
