drool in mask ..yuck!

Post by agavegrove » Mon Mar 07, 2011 8:30 pm

I recently tried to start wearing my mask again. I actually wore it for almost 3 hours last night. When I woke up for a restroom break I took the mask off. I was laying on my back and dumped a mask full of saliva on my face. I almost gagged. I just rinsed it out and hung it up to dry. I couldn't wear it anymore.

The question: What does everyone else do about drool in a face mask? Cotton balls?

My drool slides out under my mask and dribbles down my neck--moisturizing my skin.
What I mean to say is if you can find the humor in a icky situation, maybe it will not be so disturbing.
Failing that, some people have used pantyliners to enhance mask comfort--really!
You also may have read about pad-a-cheek mask liners, made by a member of this forum.
Whatever works--some of it silly. Good luck, good humor, good sleep.

I wake up enough during the night that I notice it before I can pool. I've been known to take the mask off, clean it out and start over again.
