Hi, I am new to the website. I am wondering if someone knows where I can purchase a slightly used or less expensive Resmed S9 Autoset. I am in Ontario and I purchased a CPAP machine that didnt end up working all that well. I have tried the S9 and its working really well. But insurance will not pay for another machine for 3 1/2 more years. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kerry

Re: resmed S9 Autoset
Used to be able to find good deals at cpapauction but ResMed made them stop allowing ResMed products.
ResMed also won't allow cpap.com to ship to Canada.
Several members have had success with machines from secondwindcpap.com. Not sure if they sell ResMed or not and if they did would they ship to Canada. They offer new and used machines.
Another option is to find a friend in the US and have cpap.com ship to the US address... Then have friend ship it to you.
In the US we sometimes find good deals on craigslist but it needs to be local so the machine can be checked out because it can be easy to get burned with craigslist purchase if not careful.

Thanks for the advice. I ordered from Second Wind and hopefully it won't take too long to get here. I am a little worried about customs though. Price was better than retail. $915 plus shipping.

I wouldn't worry too much about customs. I don't think Resmed has anyone there to stop it and other cpap brand machines and supplies get shipped to Canada all the time. More likely you will just have the usual customs delay.hatgirl wrote: I ordered from Second Wind and hopefully it won't take too long to get here. I am a little worried about customs though. Medical devices are generally exempt from import taxes for the end user, if I'm not mistaken. CPAP fits that category. It may be worth asking a fellow Canadian on the forum about it. Here's hope that it arrives soon.hatgirl wrote:Thanks for the advice. I ordered from Second Wind and hopefully it won't take too long to get here. I am a little worried about customs though. I also ordered from there and as long as it ships by the Post Office and not Fedex or UPS you should be good. (and they know this so hopefully they used the post office unless you asked for it in a rush)

Tired of being tired for 20 years running, hoping this is the answer...
