Nope, nope...I'm not done. So your idea of fun is to punk people? Really?! That's it?! Wow...what's next for you? Here's a couple of ideas. You could find a website dedicated to helping cancer survivors cope...and you could make up a fake story there....you know...just for fun. Or how about going hiking? Or having a date with a girl? Wouldn't THAT be fun? I don't usually wade into threads about losers like you....but you embarrassed RG....and for that....you get my anger. Examine your life, Sweetie. See if you can't do better than this. You may be Chrisp....but you're not very sharp.

(don't bother with your lame retort. I won't be back on this thread)

On the third day of this long saga, chrisp made a mistake that should have uncovered him and ended the prank short. He replied as Surly Abond while accidentally logged in as chrisp:

Could I impose to write correspondence to company that I may purchase. I do not write english well. I may duplicate and send by post.

Thank You,

Well I do see Surly wandered into the ridiculous on day 11 of the prank and one member became properly suspicious.

The machine you mentioned is a pancake air compressor, here is a link:

With 13,000 Rupee you can have a cpap machine instead.

Re-reading that thread, I remember thinking "Huh?" when I saw that "Surly Abond" message posted under chrisp's login. At the time I wondered if Chris had seen a message by "Surly" mistakenly posted in another topic and was kindly moving (by repeating it) Surly's message to the more attended to thread. A little further on, it continued to appear (to me, anyway) that Chris was, indeed, trying to help "Surly."

Oh well. Perhaps some other genuinely in need person who read it back then got some help from it.

He didn't embarrass her at all. He embarrassed himself.

As for not hurting anyone, what happens the next time someone like "Little Lara" or whatever her name was shows up, needing help? Don't you think people are now going to be just a tad more cynical? It may have been funny to you, Chrisp, but if you are responsible for making people withhold their help from someone who really needs it, you HAVE caused someone harm. People are already questioning Semreka.

RG, SWS and other old timers that participated in the Surly Abond Saga please don't read this. Its not about you. You will always be my mentors and I look up to you. It was all done in good faith not to embarrass anyone. I'm just a guy that has been trying to make cpap work for the last 9 years. And been pretty successful at it .

Wow, I never thought anyone who didn't even know what sleep apnea or a cpap was back in 2005 could be so offended and could get so bent out of shape.
Did anyone learn anything from the Surly Abond posts? Yes, they Surly did.
Did all of you that contributed learn anything buy doing research and passing it on to Surly? Yes again.
Did we all learn from Surlys endeavor to get treatment. Yes.
Did we learn anything about ourselves, our humanity, our caring for our fellow man no matter where they were or their economic or social status? YES.
WE all cared for this man that you never met in a country that you had never been to and most probably couldn't find on the map. Surly Abond of Dum Dum kolatta (Calcutta), India.
Surly Was a HERO and an INSPIRATION to all right up until I spilled the beans. I say He still is!

So all the threads of valuable information are suddenly void. Why? Because a few high and mighty that weren't even around when this went on are full of yourselves.

So I guess all those cartoon like videos that they show kids and adults so they can learn about being in the hospital and having their tonsils out and such are a waste. The info is no good because its not a "REAL" person. By your authority.

Lastly,
How did I embarrass RG? By showing how knowledgible, caring, patient and intuitive she is. A great communicator!

You get a life.

chrisp, you're really Charlie Sheen, aren't you? At the very least, you're two of a kind, shameless and crazy as a bedbug. Go away. And everyone beware--there are surely [sic] others like this on this board, fishing (if not phishing) for information about each of us.

If I was like Charlie Sheen I would be rich making 1.8 mil per episode. I don't have a fishing license. I apologised to those that I needed to. I should have just let it be and you would still be praising my friend Surly in India.

This story will be right up there with the Great Cockroach Adventure of Worst CPAP Moments.
