DeVilbiss SmartFlex Intellipap Auto Question
DeVilbiss SmartFlex Intellipap Auto Question
Hey All- I have a stupid question and not sure if I have made the right choice for CPAP machine. My Rx is for 14.pressure my apneas are moderate to severe and I was using resmed for the last 3 years before it failed. Anyway, I received the new machine today and set it up and I noticed that the folks at CPAP set the machine at 4. as the lowest 20. as the highest? It sounds weird to me and wondering if this dude auto adjusts for the pressure I need by itself?? I am having a hard time getting used to it already- was used to to having the full 14 pumping out... Oy anyway- comments encouraged

Re: DeVilbiss SmartFlex Intellipap Auto Question
I am not a Dr and do not play one on TV. So do what you want with the following.
Your machine is set to the defaults. 4-20 If you want to keep it in APAP mode you need to change the range. If your prescribed pressure is 14, I would set the lower limit at 13 to start and upper limit to 16. See how you do at those settings, and then adjust accordingly. If you do not want to have a range then set the machine to CPAP mode and set your pressure to 14.
