I love my ResMed Swingarm, which as far as I can tell is no longer available. I have one permanently attached to my bed and travel with the other.
I used to put my swingarm in my carry-on CPAP bag. Since 9-11 I've been afraid it'll be confiscated by TSA as a potential weapon. Sure, as part of my CPAP system it should count as medical equipment and be allowed. However, I'm not willing to risk my Swingarm since I wouldn't be able to replace it. It's a bit of a pain not to have my hose-management solution carried with my CPAP.
Does anyone have first-hand experience traveling recently with any of the currently-available hose management devices as a carry-on?

Re: Hose management and air travel
mstevens,
I flew to Washington, D.C. last week and took my Cpap hose lift system by Arden Industries. I had no problems with it in my cpap case. I also carry a 15' extension cord that I wasn't sure would be allowed. No questions about it either. I guess they are seeing enough cpaps to know what we use with them. They seemed more concerned about emptying pockets of everything before going into the scanner. The scanner was nice in that I didn't have any questions or delays because of my metal knee replacements.

Re: Hose management and air travel
I carry a hose mgmt system and extension cord with my cpap....went through the airport again this past week without a second glance. They didn't even grab the ziplock bag with the blower and pull it off to the side to check for explosives or whatever it is they check, either time that I went through security. Just like you do with a computer, they ask that the blower be removed from the bag and placed separately from the baggage. I keep the blower in a ziplock to protect it from the grime of the tubs, conveyor belt, etc

Thanks for the replies. I think it may be time to pick up a new hose management thingy and see how it goes getting it through the checkpoint. As long as I can replace it, I'm OK with risking it and I'd really rather keep it with all my other CPAP stuff.
Now, I just need to figure out which disassembled systems will fit in an S9 travel bag.

I don't know about it fitting in an S9 travel bag, but the Hozer is small and light, and I really like it.mstevens wrote:Thanks for the replies. It's hard to beat the CozyHoze Boss from pur-sleep dot com for home or travel. Right now I am just using a large rubber head band taped to the head board.
