I think the first thing to do would be to call your doctor--tell her that you don't feel comfortable with the ramp and the new settings are worse, not better. Then ask her politiey enable your access to the data again--explain that it helps you take an active role in your treatment.

If she refuses, you have two choices: Live with it, or remove the data card and reset the machine to give you access to the data (and turn off the ramp). When it comes time to be seen by the doctor, all you have to do is reinsert the card, this will restore all the data to the card--nothing will be missing (this will also restore the settings the doctor put in). The onboard memory on the PR S1's holds data for up to 1 or 2 years, I'm told.

Or you could get Encore Pro software. Try pm'ing Uncle Bob.

I'm not sure what the logic is of resetting the ramp and locking you out of the very basic data you can get on board the machine. It may have been inadvertent, and your doctor may be happy to restore the data and turn off the ramp. But if she is one of those doctors who doesn't believe in patient access, you can see that the result is a lot of discomfort for you she may not acknowledge or care about. Do you really want that kind of relationship with your physician????

Re - Ramp - I believe that I have this same machine, and I have to push the button to start the ramp feature it does not start automatically. After the first 3 days of being on CPAP I quit using it. Now I just turn on the machine and start from there. The CFLEX is to help you exhale. I have a pressure setting of 17cmsH20; so the cflex+ set at 3 helps me exhale through the pressure.
