I'm just sayin.....that's what a snifter is for.
Saw the doc for a follow-up, took the SD card out of the machine, got to the center early & had the DME download the data and give me copies and then went and saw the doc.
12 days with the Facehugger - averaged better than 4 hrs/night with it strapped on, trending longer - last three days more like 5-1/2 hrs.
AHI's 11.3 - better than the 67 AHI I had at the sleep study.
Doc says she wants to raise pressure from 14 to 15 - I asked her why can't I just set it on Auto with a 14 min 20 max? She says - "oh, you're hip to the settings?" - said yes and she says go for it.
Also asked if I could just print the reports and fax them to her rather than coming in each time - she's says "oh, did you find the software already?" (thanks Cpaptalk) - said yes and she says fo for it.
We'll see if Auto can get me down below 11 AHI
Mac.

Way to go, Mac! I love it when a plan comes together.
Oh, yeah, you had me interested on the brandy in the humidifier thing.

Good to hear and sound like you have a pretty good sleep doc.
I'm sure you will quickly determine the pressure that works best. I would recommend running with auto +/- 2 of the pressure that seems to work and then over 4-7 days determine if that pressure is OK. Some people make out fine and just leave it on Auto, other do better with a single pressure in CPAP mode. In my case I also found that any exhaust relief had a proportional and direct impact on the pressure needed but I also found that even with the same AHI numbers I felt better in the morning if I used the exhaust relief once pressures got above 14 or 15.
Best of luck!

Brandy in the humidifier, what an interesting concept. I would like some first hand reports. Anyone tried medical marijuana in their humidifier?
