Software for New System One BiPap User

Hello,

I'm in my first week of using BIPAP machine and seem over loaded with info. This website is a life saver. So my first question is what software should use to look at the data store on the machine SD card?

Encore Viewer is the patient oriented software for looking at the data on the SD card on the PR System One BiPAP. Our host cpap.com sells it for about $99. It runs well on 32-bit Windows machines running anything from XP through Windows 7. But installing on a 64-bit Windows machine is problematic.

You won't need a special SD card reader. Any standard SD card reader will work.

All my machine are Win7 64. I wonder if you could run in XP Mode? on a 64 bit system?

I believe it can. Actually, it will RUN fine on a 64 bit computer...it's the installing that is tricky. One "easy" fix is to install the program onto a 32 bit system, then copy the files onto a usb drive. Copy the files from the usb drive onto the 64 bit computer, and it should work. But, if you don't have access to a 32 bit system, then I'm not much help. I believe there are several threads on the forum that address this issue, but I didn't read them in depth since I run a 32 bit system.

You can also try the open source service I'm working on at http://www.hoolehan.com/onkor. It will show events such as Obstructional Apneas, Hypnoapneas, Respiratory efforts, etc, as computed by the machine. You can also view your waveform of breathing during the night.

I've only been working on it since Christmas on my weekends so there's a long way to go, but maybe it will be sufficient for you.

If you try it out and notice any problems, please let me know.
