All the diabetics in my family went downhill fast, as you suggest. Not fast enough though to avoid a lot of suffering, with gruesome, barbaric treatment.

"Barbaric" - are you referring to having to check blood sugar levels every day with finger pricks? Or to limb amputation? Or to what? Believe me, if there were (or had been) kinder ways to deal with the disease that were effective, seeing as many doctors and their families are diabetic, they would have been used. Or is it possible that your relatives, being CS, waited too long to get treated and did have to undergo procedures that could have been avoided otherwise. I am sorry you lost them, of course, but not knowing more, it's hard to comment.

There's your answer. CPAP is not an attempt at healing but merely a way to live with the condition.
Just like a wheelchair, or crutches.
If god chooses to cure you at some stage, he won't be usurped by the machine.

Having said that, at 25 and not sharing their faith I think it's time to stop playing games.
Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?

Well, Do you want Christ to chastise you for falling asleep at inappropiate times? Look, at the Garden of Gethsame, the Disciples fell fast asleep while watching Christ's back during His most important praye of Purpose Fulfillment. At that time, neither God, Christ, Spirit, willpower, or fear could keep the Disciples awake. And this OSA defomity is a severe burden; we the sleep deprived are cause of individual disease and death, but of untold thousands dead and maimed. Auto accidents; Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, Exxon Valdez, Union Carbide Bhopal India. Unless it is your Provident Destiny to cause wanton death and injury, this then is what you tell the CS and parents.
