Rescan and windows 7 64 bit

Hi I am having a lot of problems with my 5 yr old laptop and MAY need to get a new machine. If I go with another PC does anyone know if the latest rescan works with windows 7 64 bit? it is my understanding that Rescan does not work on a Mac.

I have Windows 7 64 bit. The ResScan I downloaded from Uncle_Bob's page is running just fine. It automatically opens when I put my machine's SD card in the computer's SD card reader.
