Did you name your machine, mask, etc?

Post by AmyD » Mon Jan 31, 2011 8:17 am

I come from a family of sailors. Our tradition of naming boats has spread to everything else in our lives. Many inanimate objects in our house have a name. My new CPAP machine is called Jones (after James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vadar) and my new mask is called Gonzo (which I think should be obvious!).

Anyone else crazy enough to do the same?

Amy.

Kaa, after the snake in the Jungle Book who attempts to hypnotize Mogli into falling asleep .... And inspired in part by the fact that Kaa feels like a large stuffed toy snake to curl up with in his hose cozy since I run the hose under the covers and hold it most nights under my arm.

I'd kind of like to name mine, but I have no imagination!

No, I haven't named mine, but I do feel compelled to do scenes from "Top Gun" with my mask on.

"Tower, this is Ghost Rider requesting a flyby.....That's a negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full."

Sometimes I pull my mask off dramatically and say "Talk to me Goose".

After my brother saw my hooked up to the hose, he said I looked like a Snuffleupagus. I have called it Snuffy ever since.
