Mile High sleeper gal

Post by 1Donald » Wed Jan 26, 2011 11:10 am

I have just finished reading her blog at http://smart-sleep-apnea.blogspot.com/ and as a resident of CO would like to ask a question or two about machines at this altitude and would love to have her/you respond if she is still visiting this site. If any newby need to have an education about equipment I can only urge you to check this site. WOW I have been a CPAP user for almost 5 years and just got informed....MILE HIGH SLEEPER GAL thanks so much for all of your suggestings and comments. This was most enlightening after years of leaning on Apria for help I now feel liberated from dependency.

I am considering the Devilbiss IntelliPAP auto adjust with smartflex. I reside at about 7000 ft and would like an altitude auto adjust machine if it is important.

I am also looking for a simple reporting system to give some idea of use results...is this a good machine for that?

As I don't need a machine when I travel to sea level, that is not an issue for me, so I don't really need a super compact footprint machine.

I'm still getting familiar with posting so please bear with me.

Thanks for any help or machine suggestions.

Don

I LOVE my IntelliPAP! Be sure to get the AutoAdjust and not the Standard. The standard doesn't give much info but just hours used. I live in Prescott at 5800 feet...so I've included an oxygen bleed. It's worth considering. My oxygen levels run 98% all night. I usually run about 93-94% during daily activities. I really feel that the oxygen bleed is extending my life! I feel GREAT. I had an M and it just didn't make it in the comfort department. I do use it for travel though ( don't travel much at all).

All IntelliPAP devices (Standard, Standard Plus, AutoAdjust and Bileve S) feature automatic altitude adjustment up to 9,000 feet.

I am confused as to why you don't need a machine when you travel, dose the higher altitude make that much of a difference?
