Papcap and Swift FX

Just wondering how many of you use this combination and how is it working out for ya. Thinking about purchasing the Papcap to add to my collection.

I just received my first papcap 2 nights ago. I have been using it with my Activa LT both nights and it has been great. I'm using it as a replacement for the head gear without the chinstrap. I'll have to try it out with the Swift fx and my Quattro. So far I'm liking it.

I use the Swift FX over the PAPcap and love it. Zero leaks most nights.

I have been mouth breathing and need something to keep my mouth closed. This PapCap seems a bit much price wise and material wise. Someone convince me that I should just skip the chin straps and go right to PapCap

I use the Papcap and the Swift LT and it works fine. Most nights I have no leaks but I do have to fiddle with the mask and cap a couple times each night. The cap tends to pull forward and thus pulls the bottom strap of my mask up too. I've tried a couple adjustments on the cap (I moved the chinstrap Velcro up higher and sewed the cap under in the front) but I can't keep it from sliding forward.

I have a severe mouth-breathing problem. As I posted earlier, I have been taping, but decided I didn't want to tape my mouth shut for the rest of my life. Forget the simple chin straps, like Resmed; at least in my case they don't work. Looking for anything that might help, I bought a Papcap and found that it too slips forward during the night, throwing my Swift II out of kelter and causing leaks. Since the strap someti9mes does not cover the velcro pad on the cap, the velcro showing would grab the cheek pads of the Swift II and cause leaks when I would move. The cap is a "fits all". My wife removed the large velcro squares (2) from the cap and cut them down to 1" squares (yes, they're plenty big enough to grab on and hold the strap) so the strap would completely cover the squares and couldn't attack the mask cheek pads. She also sewed them further toward the back of the cap, with the top of the velcro at the same height as the large original square. Now, the strap is at an angle toward the rear of the cap whereby the cap does not slide down to the front during the night. The smaller squares also stopped the problem of the original velcro from sometimes rubbing against my face. Since we overhauled the cap, it works fairly well. No more taping and no more painful dry mouth. Most of the time, I can last all night. Maybe once or twice a week during the night, I have had to re-position the mask, strap and cap, but no more that once on each night that it happens. Overall, it sure beats taping.
