Feedback on Encore Data

Post by BoomersRock » Fri Jan 21, 2011 6:35 pm

I am not convinced my therapy is doing what it is supposed to; waking most days feeling exhausted. I use a Profile Lite Petite mask, Ruby adjustable chinstrap and tape my mouth.
Results for last 17 days:
Average Obstructive Apnea Index 1.0
Av. Hypopnea Index 2.0
Av. Vibrating Snore Index 0.8
Av. Mask Leak 120.0
Av. 90% Leak 60.1
Av. Leak 48.3
Av. Large Leak 7 min 4 sec

If I wake to use the restroom, I leave the mask running and sometimes start the machine and run it prior to putting it on. Even with the taping, I still feel air coming out of my mouth. The chinstrap leaves marks on my face for hours in the morning but it seems the like the only one that works.

All I have is a Encore Viewer. Can't figure how to save the report so it can be uploaded and I don't have a printer to print it out on.

screen shot put into paint, upload that only a site like photobucket and post the url here

screen shot is ALT and PrtScn simultaneously - paint is in accessories - you can use other programs too

Your leaks are WAY too high. That's why you're not getting much benefit. Even though your AHI numbers look good, they are highly suspect with leaks like that.

It looks like you are going to need a FF mask

To save a report, look on the upper left hand corner and there is a disk icon (do people even know what those are anymore???). Then you can open the saved report and select data to upload to a photo site. From there you link the image post here.

Tried the full face Mirage and still had to use the chin strap. Talk about big leaks!

I opened up Paint (under Accessories), New file, then copied the screen shot ("Prnt Scrn" button on computer). Hopefully you can read it.

There is a print screen button on most keyboards. This link explains it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Print_screen

When you use this button, it basically puts a copy of whatever you currently see on your screen into the computers memory. You can then open your "Paint" program which should be in your "Accessories" folder which is located in your "Programs" listing when you click your start button. Once you get your "Paint" program open, you would then choose "Paste" to place the picture of your screen into the "Paint" program. You can then save it and it would be available to upload to this or any other site.

Always useful to let folks know what your pressure is. Pressure, mask make/model, AND leak rate are the 3 things. If people (like me) have to go searching for that info they will likely keep going without a comment.

But looking at the dailies is the best way to determine IF leaks are a problem. Numbers alone are not helpful.

Pressure is 13. Profile Lite mask. Typically use my M Series CPAP w/CFlex and heated humdifier.

How were you able to get this link in Photobucket?

Did it work? I probably could have cut and pasted from the Photo Bucket website but just sent myself an email with the link and cut that instead.
