cpap soft mask

Post by Mikemww46 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:19 am

I'm having a problem with the mask slipping off during the night & blowing air in my eyes. I have continuous eye infection because of this. The place where I got the cpap mask said to go to the cosmetics dept. & get a gel to help seal it but didn't say what the name of it is. Can anyone give me advice on what to do? Thank you.

You might find using a Tranquileyes mask helps protect your eyes from any leaks.

I have a dream weaver soft mask. The adjustments don't help but I was told to go to the cosmetics department & pickup a gel but wasn't told what it's called. It's supposed to help stop leaks.

I don't know of any gel that would help make a Dreamweaver mask stop leaking. I can't see how anyone could get that mask to stop leaking with anything.

If you had a silicone mask we could recomment Ayr gel or a lanolin based cream, but I wouldn't recommend them for a cloth mask. Why don't you ask the person who advised you to be more specific?

I think you are talking about a Sleepweaver. Outasync, sorry it didn't work out for you. I've used Swift LT, FX, Sleepweaver, all were okay, in fact my most recent mask is a second Sleepweaver. Just a general note, while it's fine for a poster to say that a mask didn't work for him/her, I wish we would all realize that probably all masks work for someone, and no masks work for everyone.

We aren't talking about which mask fits which person. The OP was asking about a gel to put on a cloth mask. I haven't heard of any such gel, nor have I heard of any other fixes for that mask. Sorry, if I didn't make myself clear.
