Encore Viewer 2.0 Software data date issue

Post by Tn-Ken » Mon Jan 17, 2011 9:09 am

I've just recently restarted using Encore Viewer (version 2) and it seems to work fine with one exception. The card that I put into my machine downloaded to the software from last night with the date November 10, 2010.....

any ideas?

I've done some searching but haven't found this issue. Thanks!
Ken

Ken, the machines are set to Greenwich Mean Time and while the clock chips consistantly looses time I doubt that you could have lost much more than an hour. The "M" Series is not old enough for the battery to have died. They usually last 5+ years at least. The GMT from the machine is converted to your time zone by your computer. You might check your computer to see if the time and date are correct.

I would check the date on your computer.

Interesting. The computer is fine (it automatically sets its time and I checked it anyway). The machine has a time and date in it huh? I'll be that's where the problem is. Now to find out how to set that!

Well - I just figure out that I was confused about the model Cpap I had - it's NOT the M Series but one that predates that one. I just looked at the provider manual and there doesn't appear to be anywhere to set the time. Any ideas?

Thanks!

OK, with the Legacy (Tank) Remstar it is possible that the battery might be going out if it is off by that much. Uses a BR2032 battery, soldered in to keep there clock running even when it is unpluged. They generally last a long time however. I recentally bought one of the old Pro2's and it was only off by 95 minutes. Generally only a repair station can reset the clock chip althouigh I have heard a few DME's have been able to do it but I* have never found one. Takes a Sleep Link card and cable as well as the diagnostic program to reset it. The card and cable generally runs around $100 if you can find it.
