Please suggest a chin strap

Post by snoozysue » Wed Jan 12, 2011 6:49 pm

I have always breathed through my mouth and am currently using a Quattro (both kinds) but I am keen to try a nasal mask. Could anyone please suggest a "strong" chin strap that I could use. I still might end up with having to use a full face mask but I would at least like to give a nasal mask a try.

I use the Respironics Premium chinstrap, the blue one. And tape my mouth shut.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did a Google search and I can only find black ones. Is the blue one different to the black one?
Thanks

I wouldn't recomend the crappy one I use. Most mornings it's wadded up in my mouth. Mine is white and very soft but doesn't really work.

It does look black in the picture, but it's really a dark blue. The support strap in the back is an important feature to keep it from slipping off.

I use a PAPCAP also - has a chin strap as well as an alternative for securing the hose up over your head.

Cheers,
xena

I have both Respironics and Halo Chin Straps. The Halo Chin Strap is easier to put on and take off, and is considerably more comfortable to wear. I have only tried those two, but the Halo Chin Strap works well for me and is far better than the Respironics in my opinion.
