ReScan Data
ReScan Data
Hello I have fantastic result since I started my therapy 10 days ago.
I've just looked at the report from my Rescan and the leak data seems strange too me. I would like to know what that mean.
I have a mirage Micro nose mask and I have no trouble at all with leaks but I found strange that resscan report no leaks at all , it is a bug or do I have a perfect fit even when sleeping ?
Look
On the Jan 2/3/4/5 the reading for leaks look like that
Max 24
95% 0
Median 0
On Jan 7/6
Max 0
95% 0
Median 0
Those are pretty numbers I hope just that they are telling the truth when I sleep )
The AHI report basically no events , the worst day I had 4.3 event and the last 7day report show less then 1 event .
No wonder why I feel now than before
Happy new year too all )

Re: ReScan Data
Are you looking at the detailed graph and not just the summary? The detailed graph will show small leaks that aren't big enough or long enough to really register in the summary graph.
However, if you're not sure the leak line is telling the truth....test it! When you put your mask on tonight, create a big leak for a couple minutes, stop the leak, and make another leak. When you look at the graph the next day, it should show you some leak lines. They may be small, but you should see some upticks.
I didn't believe it when my leak lines went flat, so I had to test it just to be sure...same with zero AHI nights. Couldn't believe 'em at first.

Would your theory work in reverse, Weezy?
I think that I have a pretty good seal on my mask (i.e. I can't feel anything out of place and I don't hear any of those tell-a-tale "fart" sounds) most nights, but when I do a daily download the data indicates that I have big time leakage.
I do have the odd "bad" night where nothing seems to work right - mask fit feels off, I can't get mask adjusted to feel right, I can't get rid of leaks etc - so I'm not too fussed with the next morning's data.
That said, I feel like I'm getting good results with my CPAP therapy even when I consider the leak rate (am slowly becoming resigned to the fact that the Quattro leaks and that I shouldn't be so paranoid about them, but my OCD tendencies still want the rates to be as low as possible) and my bad nights (I've only had 1 in the month that I've had my machine)... after all 1 bad night now and then is better than scaring myself almost to death with behind-the-wheel drowsiness during my afternoon drive to work (along a high volume rush hour traffic route that includes traversing a bridge)

Re: ReScan Data
Homer....you have the software, right?
When you download, the message box appears and you would normally click on "Start Download." However, this doesn't give you ALL the data. In the download box, look for the "Select" button and choose the second option and make sure the drop down listed says "all." This is a one-time change and it will stay this way for subsequent downloads.
Then just look under Detailed Graphs in Review Data. This will give you all sorts of graphs, and one of them is a nice leak line.
If you don't have the software, then you should get it. Search for "Uncle Bob".....

So cool that you're getting good results and feeling better!
I think the reverse would work....maybe take a few minutes and hold the mask to your face tightly and then see what your leak line looks like the next day for those few minutes? And from what I've read here, a lot of issues with leaks all depend on how BIG the leak is, and how long a big leak lasts. Small leaks apparently do not impact your therapy to a noticeable degree, hence the line in the leak graph where below the line is OK, above the line isn't OK.
Maybe there are some modifications you could make to the mask to help it fit better? I started out with a Quattro, but couldn't handle the claustrophobia OR get it to fit my face at all. Never got the leaks even into the somewhat acceptable range.

Another obsessive data reader has been born.... You probably won't be able to start your day until you've had a chance to download and check your graphs.....
