It's amazing what a difference a little change in hair can

make for mask comfort! I had my hair thinned today and it's like I'm wearing a new mask. I used the Swift FX and I didn't have to do nearly as much fiddling with placing some hair in front of the straps. I highly recommend trying this if you have thick hair and you can't tolerate a ponytail at night, lol!

Sleepydawn, your hair is beautiful!

My hair is so thin, if I took any more out I'd be bald. I look like I have a bald spot where the strap goes across the top of my head. I can't get my hair to fluff up anymore. It's permanently squished flat.

I have long hair and have to do the ponytail thing with my Swift also. I only do a very loose ponytail or I can't sleep either.

When my hair was long, I'd tie it in a single or two braid/s because I can't stand pulling it back tight in a ponytail to sleep in - but I also can't stand it all loose around my face either. This might be more comfy if you have longer hair.

Cheers,
xena

Thank you, it was about 4 inches longer before that picture was taken and I am so glad I let go of the extra hair. She razor cut all around my face so it still looks long but there's a lot less to deal with. Do you have to do a ponytail at all? Your hair doesn't look thin, it looks very pretty! I tried the 2 ponytails and the braids but I think it was just too much to deal with the head gear and hair all at once. I was very conscious of all of the pressure and pulling. Luckily I don't notice as much when hair is just touching my face.

Ha, ha! That picture of me with my granddaughter was taken just BEFORE I started CPAP and I don't think I'm going to update it, either. My hair breaks easily and the neoprene headgear is not my friend. CpapCap was even worse, not that it broke my hair but made it flat to my scalp and it would not fluff up even after a hot shower and blow drying. Sigh!

Wow, that sounds VERY frustrating! I have PCOS so I am very grateful to have a lot of hair. Many women with PCOS have balding issues. I made microfleece covers for my headgear and I like them very much. They are very soft and gentle, far superior to neoprene or the covers that come with the FX. I thought that was your daughter in the photo, you look very young!

And remember that if one doesn't care for having a ponytail, pigtails also remain as a viable option. Now some say that it is inappropriate for grown-up women to affect pigtails. But I believe there are some who can pull it off.

I'm making a fleece cover to enlose the top of the head strap where my hair, errr, fur, is esp thin While a bit self-conscious about my hair, I try to laugh and say that I stood in line for brains twice thinking the second time I was in the hair line or that instead of hair I ended up with cat fur...ah well, life goes on with or without hair

That sounds a bit like a fetish for some men, Dr. Cloudy.
