Dean,

I received my mask today from your service. Thank you so much for making this option available. I've always wanted to try a Total Face Mask and could not justify the expense of trying it prior to this. Fitlife will get good treatment and be back to you within a week.

I got my loaner mask in the mail on Saturday and after getting it all hooked up that night, I knew it wasn't going to work for me. Thanks to sleepnationtv for starting this program!

I received my mask on Friday also, I used it for 2 nights and like it. I already had the Activa LT and this Mirage softgel has interchangeable cushions. Now I know that the soft gel is more comfortable for me. I'll be shipping the trial mask tomorrow. Thanks Sleepnation/Dane.

I've just completed a week on a Hybrid (regular mask is Mirage Liberty), figuring I was going to like it better after reading a lot here.
Thanks to Dane at Sleep Nation TV, I found out I didn't like it as much as the Liberty - although it was very comfy to sleep in (if you can really call sleeping with a mask strapped to your face 'comfy), the pillows irritated my nares. I tried all 3 sizes, but nothing improved.
I will try a couple more masks I think will work for me, and will certainly purchase one from Dane as an extra for me, and to keep this program running.
I commend cortez for starting this thread and Stormynights for offering to kick it off, and Dane for running with it.

Cheers,
xena

I did a test drive on a Swift fx, here's my take;
Leaks were minimal
Easy to put on
Simple adjustment
Can be worn looser than Swift lt
Very pliable short hose
Silicone cheek straps slightly annoying
Pad-a-cheek allowed easier slippage/leaks
Slight whistle on exhale
The big deciding factor for me was;
Exhaust vents directed downward too much
(Exhaust blowing on chest was sleep dis-ruptive)
Thank you for a wonderful program. I will be trying another mask after the Holidays.
Everyone have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season john

Done with my week on the comfortgel original nasal mask.
Easy to adjust, very few leaks.....I made a cotton liner to fit.
The only thing I didn't like was my big mouth.....tried tape also tried the ace bandage mouth wrap.
I'm going to try a comfortgel full face mask next, I did a swap with "airforce retired"... my Swift LT for his Comfortgel. We'll see how that goes before I try anything else.
Cheers all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I tried the Hybrid after reading quite a few reviews that it was better than the Mirage Liberty (also a 'hybrid').

For my own face, the Mirage Liberty works much better, although having a L, M & S size mouth part of the Hybrid gave a bit more scope than just the L and S of the Liberty.

The Hybrid was very comfy, however no matter what size mask/nasal pillow combinations I tried I had way more leaks over the week than with the Liberty, so this was really the main deciding factor on which mask works best for me.

I did like the chin cup on the Hybrid as I didn't have to use my PapCap to keep my big mouth closed

Overall, the Hybrid was a really comfortable mask, but apparently not the right fit for my face.

I'm waiting on my next choice - Swift FX for Her!

Thanks again, Dane for the great program!

Cheers,
xena

I have a Swift FX coming and I am looking forward to giving it the old college try again. I originally had one when I first got my CPAP unit about 5 weeks ago. I did not have the best experience with it, although I only gave it about 3-4 days. I was experiencing some leaking and being a new CPAP user, I got frustrated and traded it in for my current Mirage Micro nasal mask. The Micro has been good for me, but I really want the nasal pillows to work for me.

Thanks for this great program, Dane!

Anybody waiting on a Resmed Mirage Quattro? Sending the one I had for test ride back to Dane today.
Play nice. What goes around comes around.
