On December 1, I started using the Quattro FX Full Face Mask, which replaced my Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask.
The main feature of the Quattro FX Full Face Mask is that it doesn't have the forehead support. It is a much lighter mask and more delicate mask.
Interestingly, after 7 nites usage, my AHI has halved, from 2.4 to 1.2. I've had 3 nites of 0.5, 0.7 and 0.8, which I could never achieve with the previous mask.
Also, it is much easier to watch TV, without the forehead support getting in the way.

Re: New Mask
I noticed you used a Quattro before getting the new FX. Did you take the same size as your old mask or was it different? My Quattro is the best I have found to date but still has problems with leaks. Maybe the FX is the answer.
Re: New Mask
The Quattro was a medium, and the FX is a small.

Re: New Mask
Mammal, how are you finding the FX?
I had the Mirage Quattro FFM (Large) and was doing fine except for it irritating my nose bridge.
At the suggestion of the sleep clinic I've been trialling the Quattro FX (Large) to see if this helped with the nose issue. After initially thinking it was OK I have started waking up headachy and unrefreshed. I wondered if the headache was due to the headgear straps pulling on the back of the skull in a different area. I've also had the Quattro FX slip up into my mouth one night, it is a physically smaller mask compared to the Quattro.
I also tried not using the humidifier as the sleep clinician said the moist air may have been causing the nose irritation, but the dry air causes throat irritation.
So I've gone back to the Mirage craving a good nights sleep but I'm still headachy and tired on waking up, and I feel like I have a hangover most of the day. I'm at a bit of a loss at present.
I have to decide by the 13th of January whether to buy the FX or not.

Re: New Mask
I have found that by using the FX that my pressures are down quite a bit (ususally 90% would be approx 17) and now 90% pressure is down 14-15. I have the FX much looser than I would normally have the Quattro FFM but I do tend to sleep in the one position for a long time - I don't roll around much so I am not getting the neck pain I sometimes got from the Quattro straps. The downside to the FX is that of I move too much I seem to break the seal. I can't believe how much easier on my nose the FX is too.

Re: New Mask
It doesn't seem to matter which I use at the moment, I wake up at about 4-5am with a small leak or 2. The Remzzzs liners for the Mirage Quattro weren't bad, I wonder if they have made any for the Quattro FX yet?
As I don't seem to be having any greater sleep with the Mirage Quattro, I'm going to keep trying the Quattro FX. Then, even if I have a crappy sleep I shouldn't also have an irritated nose to go with it.
I now really envy those people who dont have OSA and who can just go to sleep without having to worry about all this.
