isleep is back -- now GE -- info, please?
I noticed Probasics/Breas had a machine called isleep 20i several years ago.
GE health now has it on their website--interesting--any experience with it?
Same machine? Different?

I'm very curious; has our host ever had it?
Is this a new or re-release?
Price, some features, are intriguing.

Dunno. I see it on a few sites. It almost looks like it shows on GE now that they have apparently bought Breas based on the GE Health website.
Not a bad looking machine and not a bad price either from the few I could find.

Not unlike the Respironics site.
Both of their sites boil down to "It's good!" Interesting how much it resembles the Icon but for 1/2 the $. Will see how it reviews.
I also found it interesting that they say OUTRIGHT that they have software to allow better patient monitoring of therapy rather than the hide/seek methods sometimes practiced by others.

A more important question is where would one find the software?
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

I'm using a GE Breas iSleep 20i and the device is really nice.
I also have the manual so if you need some spec/technical detail feel free to ask.

That's what I thought but it looks like although they are advertising the software they don't give/sell it to patients but to sleep labs onlytrike-mike wrote:I also found it interesting that they say OUTRIGHT that they have software to allow better patient monitoring of therapy rather than the hide/seek methods sometimes practiced by others.
I can't see any reason for this but that's how it is.

It's so good, they show a picture of a young guy not wearing a mask! He must've ripped it off during the night.

First of all I had been using the Breas PV10i Auto Cpap for several years! It was doing a pretty decent job of effectively treating my Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome! This means that I get a lot of Flow Limitations,Snoring, and Respiratory Effort Related Arousals!
When It came time to upgrade my Breas PV10i Auto Cpap I thought it was a No Brainer decision I went with the Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap! It was supposed to have the same "I Technology" When I started using the Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap I set the pressures at the same settings as my old Breas PV10i at 10 CM/h20,and 15 CM/h20! After using the Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap for two weeks I noticed that I was not getting the "Quality of Sleep that I had gotten before with "Breas PV10i Auto Cpap". I thought I just needed to give it more time to adapt to the "New Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap! It is now eight months later, and my sleep is pretty much the same as it was when I first started using the Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap is not recognizing,or reacting to my Flow Limitations !
I had the Breas Soft ware, and I must tell you that the Software was not recognizing my Flow Limitations, and RERAs'! I tried to talk to the Breas representative, but he only referred me back to my Sleep Doctor!
My recommendation to anyone "DO NOT PURCHASE" the Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap for treating ("Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome")
including Flow Limitations,Snoring ,and Respiratory Effort Related Arousals! The Breas Isleep 20i Auto Cpap will not recognize,or treat Flow Limitations,Snoring,or Respiratory Effort Related Arousals!

Hello,
A friend of mine has Breas PV10i and he wants to adjust the pressure. But he doesn't understand how to change the pressure from the manual. Can you please describe how do you adjust the pressure? Thank you all.

My mom is having problem with them machine lately.. it keep on saying maskoff even it on.. Also the noise is louder .. So i did try to play with function .. so what's the correct min ramp and max ramp? also the time for ramp? anyone please help.. thanks
Re: isleep is back -- now GE -- info, please?
Hi - how old is the machine? Maybe it's time for a new one. There are no 'correct' ramp numbers or time - it's up to the user to decide on that, even though most of us don't bother with it at all after a short time on Cpap unless our pressure is very high, making it too difficult to go straight to that when turning on the machine. Do you not have the manual to show you how to change things on the machine?

sounds like she is having problems with a leak or leaksIsleep 20i user son wrote:My mom is having problem with them machine lately.. it keep on saying maskoff even it on.. Also the noise is louder ..
