Encore Pro 2.4 32 and 64 bit at myrespironics.com

Post by navyvet » Sat Oct 16, 2010 6:49 pm

I just wanted to let anyone that may be interested that Encore Pro 2.4 32 and 64 bit versions are posted at myrespironics.com ***for those that have accounts and access*** (as of yesterday the 15th) and the 64 bit version works great with Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I know there have been problems using EP on 64 bit systems.

Without a log-in and password, that doesn't seem to help much. Jim

If you try to register you'll find you need an account number and company name, etc. I think this is more for DMEs and such.

Yes, probably most are, but I know some also have apnea and frequent these forums. This is why I posted the update, for these people, it's not info for everyone. I thought people would realize that. Far as I know there is not a separate section to post this in.

It's **NOT** for people like Wulfman that pm'ed me upset that my post might somehow mess up his stealing from Respironics. I have access through my company, I hate thieves.

Thieves steal your possessions, Pirates, make a Copy and Leave the Original!

You must be a have customer acct with Respironics, to log in and steal Encore Pro 2.4. from Respironics, that means you must be a Professional (Thief) such as a DME, Doctor or run a Sleep Clinic. Then it's OK to get the download for free, being a professional thief is a good thing. You wouldn't really want to help anyone with their XPAP treatment. Jim

I know if you have a valid account the downloads are free, but this guy and others (by his statements) ARE NOT DME's, Doctors or run sleep clinic's:
If they ever discovered my user name and shut me off, I'd still have everything I'd ever need from them.

So, you can bad-mouth me all you want.......I was just trying to protect some of the others who also have access. It was actually one of them who sent me the instructions to register on that site last year.
Some figured out how to register with bogus account numbers and shared the info, these are thieves. Call them "pirates" if you want, it's still thievery if it's gotten by illicit means.

Thanks for posting the info. Despite the fact that I cannot access it at this time, I am still encouraged that they have come out with a 64 bit version. Maybe they will now work on a 64 bit version of viewer. fingers crossed.

navyvet, thanks for the post. I am a newbie at the sleep apnea thing and your post turned on the light. I have learned a lot from the information here and made it much easier to deal with the DME in selecting equipment and learning how to use it. It took 3 DME's before I found one that was the best of the worst. The insurance company does not make it any easier either.

EP2.4 64-bit-only endlessly attempts to restart the computer during the install process, even if I 'Run as Administrator'. I gave up. Now attempting other versions.

I've been successful at getting the 32-bit to work on XP Mode virtual machine.
Very slow install, but that's probably because it installed the database too.

Log in as administrator often works better than "run as" administrator.

Thanks for your reply. I'm the only user, as far as I know. When I go to users and accounts, it shows me as an administrator. I still have to 'Run as administrator' though. The only other account 'Guest' is turned off. Am I missing something? I wonder if it has something to do with Windows Installer 5.0. You can't use 4.5 on 64-bit.
