On November 25, I saw the posting about the software being available for free. Since I had often used Limewire to look for it I jumped on it like a chicken on a junebug.
Next was the reader, that had been discussed for a while.
Today it came in the mail. 8 full days from Hong Kong. I wish I was that fast. I said that to my wife, and she said I was.
I was surprised at how easy it all went together.
Now the only question is "Do I understand all that information?"
Yeah...............kind of.
I am sure it will take a while to learn it all, but I figure in 3-4 months I'll be able to hang my shingle out. I told my wife that and she said she always knew I was a know-it-all, anyway.
I highly recommend anyone with a respironics machine to get on board. It's easy to do. All of you have been a great help. Thanks

I agree all the data can be a bit confusing since I have only been on CPAP for a month and I am still trying to understand what it all means. If you can, try and call your Sleep Center and speak to one of the Technicians and they may be able to explain it to you. I was able to that and now I have a much better understanding of what all of it means.

Are you both using Derek's free MyEncore software too? It makes all the EncorePro data very easy to understand.

Please note that this version will only work if you have installed the new Encore Pro Ver.1.5. For earlier versions, please download from cpaptalk.com (see sticky at top of forum).
Yes I am using Derek's My Encore and it does make understanding the data much easier. My confusion was before CPAP I had no idea of what the terminology meant...apnea, hypopnea, AHI, flow limitation, oxygen desaturations, etc. etc. I had no idea of what the data was showing me.
My Sleep Tech explained all the definitions to me and what they all meant.
She was and still is a great help with all my questions.

You've really done your homework! And how lucky you are to have such a good sleep tech! We don't hear many good things about them so it's always refreshing when someone gives a positive report!
I don't know about you, but it seems to help me stick with the therapy better when I know what it all means and I'm able to view my data every morning.
