Hi all, I'm glad I found you!
I need help, I just got 3 days ago an 9S Resmed AutoSet.(I used to have the Elite).
My question is, if is Autoset doesn't supposed to set the pressure by itself?
I don't think my machine is doing it, I wake up in the middle of the night with this high pressure of 14,
If I'm awake.. the machine should feel that I'm breathing so the pressure should be low and not blowing with all it's might. doesn't it?
When I reset it, it starts with a low pressure of 5. If I take the mask off, (the machine still is on) shouldn't the machine think that I'm not breathing and blow harder?
Should I change my machine or its supposed to work this way?
Thanks

Re: 9s resmed AutoSet
Find Uncle_Bob on the forum and PM him... He will send you the links for your clinician's manual and the software for your machine. What pressure were you titrated or prescribed? The general rule is the pressure range should be set 2 below and 2 above the pressure....for example Rx pressure is 8; range set 6-10. If you choose to use the ramp feature, you can set that to slowly come up to your low end pressure.
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
Re: 9s resmed AutoSet

I was prescribed 5 to 15. on the AutoSet
on the last machine It was set to 7.

Re: 9s resmed AutoSet
PM is a private message... if you find the option for the user control panel... it will say new messages beside it... if there is something other than 0 then you have one.
