DME and replacement parts

Post by msradar65 » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:49 pm

I got my first call from DME today to see if I am ready for supplies. Of course I said yes. So they are sending me filter and nasal pillow. I asked what the scheduled was and I was told; pillows and filter monthly, headgear quarterly or full mask every 6 months. Hose and humidifier every 6 months.

I'm glad I ordered my own stuff so I have back up hose, headgear, mask frame and filters.
Diagnosed 08/31/10. Titration 9/02/10. Started CPAP 11/01/10. Auto mode 10-15cm. Alternate mask GoLife for her. Back up mask Full-life full face w/Pad-a-cheek mask liner. Comtec CMS F50 wrist pulse oximeter. Sobakawa Cloud Pillow, Sleepyhead software

I find that my masks, filters, and hoses last much longer. One way that we can hold medical costs down is after we get a backup only order replacements when the current one is no longer functioning.
