Good News went to sleep DR today !

Went to sleep Dr today and all is good ! he said that my sleep apnea is mild/moderat. I am assuming tht is good from looking at the report i only woke up 44 times in 6hrs . He did increase my pressure to 8 though . don't know much about the other numbers . i am only a week user of my cpap

I feel better in a week that i have had my machine than i have in a long time ! I actually feel like getting up in the morning and not wanting to roll over and go back to sleep .

Great!! Go to user control panel in upper left and tell everybody what equipment you have. If you have any problems they can help you easier!!

Hi,

Was this prior to getting your CPAP machine, or is this since you started using the CPAP. 44 times in 6 hours is 7.3 times per hour, which is about every 8 minutes. Since it generally takes a minimum of 90 minutes of sleep to get to REM, I suspect that you were (or are) not getting much for quality deep sleep. It would be good to not wake up at all until morning, but an AHI of less than 5 is the rule of thumb for success, and lower is almost always better.
