machine recommendation
machine recommendation
I guess this is my day to post questions! (This is my second one in a row...)
The machine my DME "issued" me (and which I now own outright) has no data capabilities. I wish I had known enough back then to ask for a different machine, but I didn't.
Anyhow, my question is this: if I were going to replace it with a different machine that had basic data capabilities, was small enough to travel with, and was very quiet in operation, is there a machine that people would recommend?
Thanks!

[PS: I should have noted when I first posted this that I'll be paying for this machine myself ... so cost is also one of the factors!]

Re: machine recommendation
Is this going to be out of your own pocket? Prices range a lot; but are the lowest online.

Yes, this will be out of my own pocket, so cost is also one of the factors. That's an important detail!
Re: machine recommendation
I'd go with the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust w/Smartflex. The best selling apap on our host's site, and it has the best warranty in the industry. Software is easily purchased from cpap.com and very easy to use. Super quiet machine, small footprint, has integrated humidifier, and NO power brick.

Re: machine recommendation
I agree with Emilia. Have been using the Intellipap autoadjust for just over a month now and cannot fault it. The data provided from simply keying in the smart codes to the Intellipap website is all I need.

Re: machine recommendation
I have the S9 and it's a great machine. In my case cost was not a criteria as insurance covered my machine. I'd also recommend it to anyone else who did not have cost as an criteria. However, for those where cost were a criteria, meaning those spending out of pocket $, then for about half the cost of the S9 I too would suggest the IntelliPAP. It comes very highly rated by those on this site who own the machine.

Re: machine recommendation
We made a video that outlines three CPAP machines on the market the Resmed S9, the Resmed S8 II, and the respironics system one. The resmed machines have the advanced data on the Autoset and Elite models only.

I Agree with Emilia the IntelliPap sounds like a great machine and the price seem reasonable..

Re: machine recommendation
That's what I'd get if I needed a new machine. Or, if I couldn't get the S9 Autoset, I'd get the ResMed S9 Elite CPAP.msradar65 wrote:I have resmed s9 autoset.

Re: machine recommendation
The OP did say that cost is factor in his decision. The S9's are hundreds more than the Intellipap. He also wants one that travels easily, and the S9 has a power brick whereas the Intellipap does not. But, either way....he'd get a great machine.
