2nd nite!

Post by msradar65 » Wed Nov 03, 2010 12:59 pm

My second night went far better than the first. I was able to keep mask on for 5.5 hrs. I woke feeling very refreshed and well rested. I did turn the humidifier temp down some. It was too warm the night before.

I let my therapist know that I was able to tolerate 5.5 hrs on my second night. I'm still able to notice the ramp and its taking me more than 30 minutes to fall asleep. He recommended tylenol PM or something to help me fall asleep for this week while I am adjusting. I have sonata so I am going to try taking that tonight and see if I can fall asleep faster.

So far all is going well.

Keep with it, after two weeks you will be a pro.
Remember...it takes 21days for something to become a habit.
The first weeks are rough. Keep looking at the posts, we are here to help.

Hi,

You wrote that you are "scared as heck". Well, this is a lot of new stuff in a very short period of time. It is OK to be a bit scared. The important part is that you are facing it head on. In contrast, I was too chicken to use my machine the first night, and I lasted 2 hours the 2nd night. By that measure, you are way ahead of where I was at, and you are doing great!
