Dr Barry Krakow in Albuquerque is well-known. You can google him.

Four Corners is just down the road apiece.

What do you need to know?

Cortez might be close enough

Didn't see anything in Page so I think your best bet would be Cortez. 2 hr drive to get there from Kayenta. The person from Monticello may know more since I live a lot farther north in Ut.

Plus, I can call them in my "Professional Capacity" and REALLY get the ball rolling.

Of course, I might not be able to control the ball once it gets rolling.

Oh well!

Such is life!

Or, since there was a HIPPA Violation when he indirectly revealed a patient's identity, I could call OCR in my "Official Capacity". They'd hit him/them/the organization (doesn't really matter) with a fine that would run
$50,000 per violation, with an annual maximum of $1.5 million

NotMuffy - I am confused by your last statement.

I am already on cpap. Got a m series machine. I was told by my sleep doc I had before I needed a follow up if I had problems or changed weight. I lost some weight and now need to start this process again.

I am just not sure who to contact yet. I don't even have a primary care doctor right now since I just moved here.

Sorry.

Sometimes the medication loses its grip:

OH, YEAH?!

Anyway, I meant to point out that if people have problems with a sleep center, there are a number of avenues they have for recourse. Depending on the issue, and whether or not it's hospital-based or freestanding, or accredited or not, this may include:

Clinical Supervisor of Sleep Center
Medical Director of Sleep Center
Guest Relations of Hospital
Peer Review of Hospital
CEO of Hospital (who usually passes issue to GR or PR)
State Board of Health
Joint Commission on Accreditation
American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Board of Registered Polysomnographers
CMS/OCR/HCFA

Do those guys ever actually DO anything?

And isn't "center" just a fancy name for a lab?

It depends on the complaint.

If the complaint is "He won't let me wing my dials around", then probably not.

If the complaint concerns professional misbehavior, then get ready with the peroxide, cause there's gonna be a bloodbath.

Close, but a Lab usually restricts itself to SDB.

BTW, WB (relatively speaking).

Thanks.

I'll assume that's "welcome back," not "watch your back."

Be careful in Utah. I think cursing and tree-ramming are against the law there.

RUFKM? Maybe up north, but down here, half the people don't even know what a law is.

Is there anybody actually left in Mexico?

I got pulled over by the UHP for going too slow (80 in a a 65 MPH zone) and thought I was in BIG trouble cause I had the Dillon in the back seat, upon which the Trooper looked with great interest.

Much to my amazement, he let me go with a written warning.

To my even greater amazement, when I read the warning later, it was for "Failure To Maintain The Proper Ratio of Tracer Rounds in a Belt-Loading Automatic Weapon".

Well if they're only here because they think this is the "Walt Whitman Service Area", then I guess that's something to look forward to.
