Whenever I sleep, my mouth falls open (mouth breather) and I wake up with a dry mouth and and throat. I've used a chin strap and that keeps my mouth shut. But the chin strap makes me feel like my head is wrapped like that of a mummy. I'd like to try the Comfort Curve Nasal Interface, but assume I cannot use it without a chin strap. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this type of a problem. Are there chin straps that aren't so constraining? Any and all advice will be appreciated.
If I used a full face mask, wouldn't my mouth falling open also cause dry mouth with this type of mask. Logically, it would but has anyone had any different experience with a full face mask?

Before CPAP therapy I was a mouth breather but as soon as I started the CPAP I quickly adjusted to sleeping a closed mouth. I use the Comfort Curve without any need for a chin strap. The air vacuum sensation I get when I try to mouth-breathe with the mask on is such a weird feeling that it's far more comfortable for me to close my mouth. Even if you do need a chin strap it may not be for long because eventually you are likely to retrain yourself to breathe with your mouth closed. If you go with the full face mask, some of them fit just under the chin, therefore acting as a built-in chin strap. It would be best if you can experiment with each mask on a trial basis until you find the one that is right for you.
