Bumping again hoping people stop feeding the beast. Once the food runs out (people to engage), wild animals usually leave and find food elsewhere.

We can only hope....

I totaly agree with this statment. Stop feeding this troll, He will get the hint and go away. If you see his post just ignore it. I read his Post calling patients stupid and was miffed but decided to not comment in hopes that he would go away but it will only happen if everyone dose the same. There are alot of wonderful people here that can help alot of other people And I would hate to see that go away.

Howdy All,

I've been up in Wisconsin at a family reunion. I turn off all the electronics to visit with the family. I'll be returning to the office tomorrow and will take this up then.

Perhaps the purpose of this patient forum differs from that which you believe it does. Regardless, I was of the opinion that you lot were simply ignoring me. I mean honestly people, we do not have anyone new here do we. This is the same rogues gallery as always. We have Notmuffy, Madalot, SWS.. the usual suspects.

What interests me however are the comments by RestedGal and LoQ. The idea that BionarySleep.com should be segregated from patients as they do not appreciate the unenlightened invading their space. Not entirely sure I can agree with that attitude but I must confess that I can understand it none the less. The comment by Mimmie directed to a thread on bionary sleep in which (No, they did not mention me once. I'm not that famous.) but they did lament the patient - practitioner disconnect that I have been table slapping about for some time now. One poster even went so far as to say "I burned out on patient education ten years ago." As I read that I could not help but wonder if that is going to be me in 11 years.

Leave it to restedgal and Loq to address the elephant in the room, where as I should not give up on attempting to educate patients (Even if it means ignoring Madalot and backing up my posts for when she deletes them) I should not direct people to bionarysleep no matter how helpful I feel it will be to them. The risk that they will realize the patient for what they are and become hostile is too great. So instead of directing them to the education- I will do my best to bring the education here.

That way everyone will get what they need.

I could not agree more. The ability to ignore that which makes you angry is a power some people seem to lack here on cpaptalk

On the other hand I don't find repeatedly posting messages intended to prove this point particularly laudable or productive.

The advice to others to ignore the troll applies to you too. I think it would be much more productive if you just ignore the people whose attitude annoys you and post just the useful information. I suspect there are plenty of people here with an open mind who avoid getting involved in any of these threads because of the confrontational context. You've made your point - can you move on to a more productive topic now?

Thought I'd done this - it becomes difficult when the annoyance keeps jumping right out in front of you!

Thanks Johnny!

By the way, I totally agree with turning off all electronics when visiting with family or on a much needed vacation. More people should do that!

I'm sure I've made more than my share of typos, but I can't help laughing that he can't spell the name of the forum that he thinks is so great!

I wholeheartedly agree! Lots of helpful (and sometimes spirited) discussion here - can only be good!

So then we are agreed? We will ignore each other? Excellent. Let us begin now.
