Does the doctor need to write a script for a humidifier for insurance to pay for it?

I doubt it very much, but obviously it would be a good idea to ask your insurance company about coverage.

I thin that is a YES. Else why not throw in some Ambiens too? It is always best to ask your Ins. to be sure.

My prescription was written "Cpap @ 7cm with humidity"

I would think it would have to be specified especially if insurance is involved in paying for it. A humidifier is a separate payment code when it comes to insurance.

yes, your dr will need to write you an rx. A CPAP machine and most of its accessories says "RX ONLY" on the label.
