Hi,
I have been on CPAP for 4 months now. When I was trialling machines I always had trouble with the S9 on loan from my clinician. Mainly due to rainout. I now have my own S9 and it works perfectly (isn't that weird). I use the Swift FX mask and nasal pillows- I can't handle the nose mask or full mask on the bridge of my nose which gets very sore and red. With the Climate Line on auto I experience a lot of rainout during the night. I switched to using the Climate Line on manual Climate Control and set the humidity on 3 or 4. The temperature is on 27c degrees. No rainout . We are just coming into spring here but nights are still cool.
My problem that I need help with is that my nose always feels runny and when I blow my nose it is sometimes bloody. Is this normal? I use a nasal spray sometimes when it gets bad. Tried the salt spray but it doesn't do much for me.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Runny nose and bit of blood
Try turning the humidity down and see what happens. Most people use too much humidity which can cause congestion and nasal drip.

Thanks for the suggestion "So Well"- actually was worse when I turned down humidity . Could be that I've just irritated the lining of my nose with the nasal pillows. Very frustrating though.

Get AYR Gel. It's sold in pharmacies and many grocery stores. It is a little tube but goes a long way. Put it on the nares and even into the nose. It isn't greasy at all, and keeps everything moist.
