However I am going to get one very very soon so I can keep track every now and then. When I get one can you walk me through how to calibrate the oximeter?

A pulse oximeter is probably a good idea. Shoot, it's probably a good idea for many people on PAP therapy.

I just noticed that you have oxygen listed in your equipment section. Is that because of your asthma, or some other underlying condition?
The reason I have to use oxygen at night is because my oxygen drops to the low 70's.

Do you think that is more related to your central events or to something else? You said your asthma is under good control, so it would not seem to be related to that. Did they tell you why you need oxygen? I'm wondering if you are hypoventilating during waking hours, causing your SpO2 to be so low.

Blusaber,
The CMS50F is the wristwatch with a rubber sensor on your finger. From what I can tell, the CMS50E computer is packaged as a "cigarette pack." I'm not sure which is more reliable or accurate, but I like the wristwatch idea because there are no wires to wrestle with at night.

Terry,
Re "calibration:" When you get the unit, put it on someone else to make sure you get some readings in the high range you seek.
