Well. This make a lot of sense. In the past, people considered a healthy person to be the person with some fat in hbis body (not obese though).
Nowaday, you have to be super skinny to be considered healthy. This way, insurance companies will charge people more and make more money because most people are considered overwight. Parmaceutical companies will make more money as they cell weight loss drugs. Bigger market for weight loss food products..... etc Simply, it is better for the economy..
