Any suggestions for devices to keep my mouth closed other than a chin strap?

a chinstrap done up tight wont stop the lips parting to allow mouth breathing

so tape the lips, roll lips inward so tape goes on skin above and below the lips fold back both ends to form 2 tear off strips

dont do this if going to bed drunk

My wife causes me to keep my mouth closed, it always gets me in trouble.

a simple boil & bite mouthguard for $0.99 at WalMart did the trick for me after months of taping, and unsuccessfully trying a chin strap............feels much more "normal" than the other choices too
