Can less HH water usage be contributed to less Mask Leaks ?

Post by DannyPh » Sun Sep 05, 2010 10:40 am

I have noticed the past few mornings that I have been using less HH water during the Night. Only changes I have made is too wash the HH Tank and washed the Nasal pillows. HH settings still remain the same on a setting of two. I have normally been using about 3/4's of a tank nightly and since washing the tank and pillows I have been using about 1/4 tank nightly. Couls this possibly have been that the tank and nasal pillows needed a Good cleaning ?

Has the humidity gone up in your neighbourhood? I have noticed my tank uses less water when its humid out.

A general feeling of tiredness the next day can be attributed to mask leaks but they shouldn't result In using less Humidifier water. The air is still passing through the chamber before reaching the mask whether the mask leaks or not. Less water usage will more than likely be caused by the humidity in the room that you sleep in. I had the same issue a while back and I got to noticing that the humidity in the room with the machine has a big influence on the amount of water used each night.
