2nd Night Amazing!

Post by SharonC » Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:26 pm

Last night I went to bed about midnight and went to sleep fairly quickly. I had to keep putting my hand at the air output to see if it was on!! It was even better than the night before.
I didn't even have to get up in the night. (Usually I'm up once or twice a night.) Woke up at 8:30 am to the washroom, went back to bed and slept until 10:00 am. What a great night! I am so happy with the Swift FX pillows! They are amazing! Hardly know they are there and I can keep using my Tempur countour pillow. I guess that's the advantage of a small mask. The pillow mask doesn't seem to bother me on that pillow.

Useage: 10 hours
AHI: 3.1 (had a "-" yesterday)
Pressure: 9 (9.2 yesterday)
Leak: 2.4 (3.6 yesterday)

What are good numbers?

Glad to see you are having such success. The numbers you posted are good.
You have no leak problems, and an AHI of 3.1 is considered "normal". That AHI number will come down with time.
I am in my forth month of CPAP therapy and just got my FX mask last week. It is very comfortable and next to having no mask at all. Good luck.

I find the Swift FX mask to be the best mask. I used to swear blind for the Activa as that was the best mask I had found, until I found the Swift FX. It's so much nicer going to sleep not having a large mask on your face.

Thanks
Dave

You're right on, Dave. I love the mask and was dreading having to use a large one. This doesn't even bother me on my pillow. I'm a side and back sleeper.
