Feeling Bad

Post by KristaL » Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:04 pm

I have been feeling like my old self lately (pre-CPAP) which is not a good thing. My mask and hose seem to be in OK condition. My CPAP is about 5 months old and my humidifier is about 1.5 years old. What else should I check?

You need to provide more information for help to be given. Please register on the forum and then go to the User Control Panel and fill in your profile and equipment (text only, please).

What is your pressure? What mask are you using and are you having leaks? When was your last sleep study? What was your DX and RX'd pressure or pressure range? What was your AHI?
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

What mask are you using? When did you last replace the cushions/pillows? What does your data show? How we feel can be a good indicator of effective therapy, but feelings come and go and are less reliable than data.

I was doing well with CPAP and then started to have my old symptoms back. The data was very useful--we saw that my pressure needed to be increased.

You have not posted your equipment, but hopefully you have a data capable machine. You need to look at the data to see what's going on--mask leaks, pressure changes, etc.
