Hello all 1st week has been pretty successful. After a freaky 1st night I kept mask on all night was avg like 6-7 hours sleep a night AHI has been pretty steady, week avg is 3.8 and I feel it, way more rested then before cpap. Here's my question, after 6 nights on being blessed( based on what I have read here) no issue with mask leaks or feeling strange about putting that thing on my face, last was pretty rough. It started with like a mini panic attack when I put the mask on. Felt like I could not breath, clastropbic feeling.... That lasted about an hour but I fought though it and my new friend sleep came. Then for the 1st time in a week I started to have leaks, I was messing with the dam mask like 5-8 times all night. I have not had to deal with this at all all week. Do you guys think this is just one of the things that was bound to catch up with me or perhaps just a freak night that will pop up every once in a while?
Thanks for the advise

One more detail. I did take a nap in the afternoon and tried a nose mask for the 1st time but used my full face for night time. Could that little experiment have something to do with it?
Thanks,

Relax, reallyneedsleep. One night isn't a trend. Every night is different, even people with no sleep issues have better & worse nights. You're on the right track. Maybe you had a stuffy nose, or were tense about something, or the moon phase bothers you. Whatever it is, you could well sleep better tonight. If not, you might need to refit your mask. If the mask problems continue we'll come up with some other stuff to try, but for now you're in pretty good shape.
