CPAP Tent set-up picture

Post by SleepyTiger » Sat Aug 21, 2010 12:01 am

Hi all,

Back from many summer time activities.

Here is a picture of my tent CPAP set-up. (About a month ago in the high Sierras.)

Image
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_g ... directlink

Starting in the upper left-hand corner and moving clockwise...

The tent wall
A Interstate deep-cycle RV battery (overkill for this trip. I could have gotten away with a pair of 7 A-hr gel cells)
A PowerBright pure sinewave inverter (200-300W, also overkill)
Slimline hose
My knee
Quatro full face mask
ResMed machine

In the middle is a bunch of DC wiring with Anderson PowerPoles (the amateur radio folks will recognize).

I had no problems with the set-up. Other than needing to roll out at 4:30AM to do what I went for.

Hope this is "enlightening"

That would be "no."

Hi SleepyTiger,

I love your avatar!

Thanks for posting this picture and information. I recently "camped" in a rustic cabin in the sierras with my S9, etc with a similar setup. The camp had power during the day but not at night. We stayed four days, and recharged the battery during the day. The camp even loaned us the battery (Mono Hot Springs, for anyone who's interested).

How many nights did you camp using your battery?
