Post by sleepymama » Sat Aug 21, 2010 2:56 pm

i know i don't have my machine yet but i'm thinking ahead. i have noticed quite a few of you use padacheek. is there a particular material that is good to use? i went to the website and seen they have silk, cotton, fleece etc. if there are other products that u use for strap discomfort please feel free to point me in that direction. thanks

Go to Padacheek.com... lots of great stuff! She's a Cpapper too and started the little business at home.

Hi there
It all depends on how crafty you are, some knit or crotchet covers others, like me have used fleece from other projects. The most used ones from padacheek are made of a fleece type material, but I've seen pictures of quilted material too. I was making blankets out of fleece awile back and had a bunch of fleece in my fabric stash, so that is what I used. I thought that fleece would be too hot in the summer, so I made some covers out of cotton......wrong idea...they just wrinkled and left "other" marks on my face. Went back to my cuddly fleece ones in a big hurry. I've made a hose cover, strap covers for my quattro, small hose and face straps for my Swift LT all out of the same color fleece.

Cheers
nan

http://www.strapsofties.com

comes in different colors..

I use these and padacheek, she has fabulous products...

I have the strap softies on my opus 360 headgear, and Oh wow, no more marks, and its so plush and comfy!
even in summer..

now strapsofties have no velcro anyhwere, they are sewn, so very soft on both sides, you need to undo the headgear
to put them on. I wash mine about once every couple weeks, as I get all scrubby clean before I put it on..
It also actually helped make my mask more snug and comfy too

Hi--the ones from padacheek that are made of a fleece type material is the ones that I use. LOVE them!! SHe makes hose covers that are very thick, durable and a generous size!! They do not shrink when washed either and you can co -ordinate your hose cover with the mask strap covers--:) have the blue fleece with the yellow stars on it. She makes really great quality items --you will NOT be dissapointed.
