Locked out of Encore Pro

Post by Brobbi » Tue Aug 17, 2010 3:30 am

I incorrectly typed the password 1 too many times and now my account is locked. Anyone know how to get around that?

If you go to Start -> All Programs -> Respirsonics -> Encore Pro 2 -> Utilities -> Reset Admin Account should do the trick.

Thank you. I did it and it asked for an unlock code, which I do not have.

Our IT folks had to call Respironics support to reset the Admin account.

This is straight out of the Encore Admin manual:
Note: If the administrator forgets the “EncoreAdmin” account password, the Reset
Admin Account utility can be used, with the assistance of Respironics Customer
Support, to reset the “EncoreAdmin” account password. This utility is installed by
default and should only be used by administrators. Administrators may choose to
remove this utility from workstations as an added measure of security.

You will probably need an account with Respironics, so your best bet mat be to uninstall/reinstall unfortunately.

I never could figure out a way of uninstalling EP2.1. It did not show up in Control Panel Uninstall. I did not have to have 2.1 so i finally went back to 1.8i. Good luck!! Someone (can't remember who) tried to get Respirionics to tell them how to do it and all they would say was that they weren't suposed to have the program if I remember correctly. If anyone figures out how to get all the program out so it will reinstall I would like to know also.
