Help with scratchy throat?

Hi all-
I have been very busy with school and many other things, but have lurked often. I think of you all frequently. Now I have a question. I have a cold with a very scratchy throat. I have been waking up in the middle of the night with an unbearable tickle in my throat. I tried turning the humidifier up to 5 last night, and I still had to give up on the APAP at about 1 am. This is not helping my attitude any because I am not getting enough sleep. Any suggestions? Hopefully, the cold/laryngitis will end soon, but I don't know. I'm SO frustrated. (Not to mention the fact that my DME sent the wrong mask and filters and it will take another week to get a new one! The one I have now is leaking more than I'd like!)

The first thing I would do it clean your mask, hose, humdifier and make sure they are very clean since you have a cold your sinus's are probably raw and you dont want to risk further infection.

You may want to try cough drops like vicks with lemon and honey. Sometimes that can help.
