My worst night so far, but was it a bad night?

Post by Popi » Mon Aug 09, 2010 4:00 pm

I was a little tired for most of the day, but nothing too bad.

This is the worst night that I've ever had, but could it be considered a bad night in general? I usually get to bed around 8:30, but I never sleep past 4am.

I guess I'm asking how I stack up compared to others....

Odd...here at work, on a non-widescreen monitor, half of the graph is cut off. Will have to remember to re-size images in the future.

You're doing great...virtually no leaks, a long period of sleep, and a few scattered events. When I 1st started, I found I had apneas around 4-5 am, and concluded that it was during REM sleep. Also, I used to have a "bad night" (more events, with no apparent reason) about once every week or so, then, that got further and further apart.

That's a nice straight leak line. Do you use a chin strap or tap?

I use a PAPCap. Two reasons: 1) I mouth breathed (is breathed a word?) in the past, and I hate that dry mouth feeling, and I'm also losing therapy and 2) I'm concerned that the straps will cause bald spots by rubbing the same areas every night, all night. My hair is thin enough, no need to give it another reason to fall out.

I'm lucky, I guess, in that I don't really feel my chin strap once it's been on for a minute or two. And, I've never had a problem with my Swift LT...except of course, when I have a stuffy nose. Those of you who can use a full face mask...you're the ones I'm jealous of. (yes, I completed a sentence with "of"...I know, I know...)
